To assess the impacts of traditional harvest techniques used by members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians on sochan (Rudbeckia laciniata) populations in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Annual Monitoring is completed by GRSM staff utilizing a variety of monitoring plots throughout the park. This project operates under the NPS gathering rule 36 CFR 2.6.
