Shapefiles of survey plots containing herbaceous species with critical loads of nitrogen and critical loads of sulfur in NPS units

Clemens CL, Russell NA, Bell MD. 2022. Shapefiles of survey plots containing herbaceous species with critical loads of nitrogen and critical loads of sulfur in NPS units. National Park Service, Air Resources Division

These shapefiles survey plots containing species with critical loads of nitrogen and critical loads of sulfur. This geodatabase is a supplemental dataset to the Natural Resource Report: “Site-specific critical loads of nitrogen and critical loads of sulfur for herbaceous species in national parks.” Please read the Natural Resource Report to gain a full understanding of its creation and appropriate usage before using the geodatabase. The Plot x Species shapefile includes all species present at each location along with the relevant critical load data. This dataset can be used to extract updated deposition data to calculate current exceedances of each species as well as to extract data and map The Plot Summary shapefile includes the environmental data extracted from each of the base data layers as well as the minimum, 10th percentile, median, and maximum of the critical load information for the species found at each plot location. This dataset can be used with current deposition data to show the risk to the overall plant community at each location.
