Southeast Alaska Network water quality and streamflow monitoring SOP 2: Uploading and Delivering Monthly Sonde Data, version 3.0

Goodwin D and Ziomek T. 2022. Southeast Alaska Network water quality and streamflow monitoring SOP 2: Uploading and Delivering Monthly Sonde Data, version 3.0. NPS Southeast Alaska I&M Network, Juneau, Alaska.

This reference is standard operating procedure (SOP) 2 from the FQ-2022.1 protocol package, in effect as of the 2021 monitoring season. The YSI EXO Handheld is connected to the sonde during each monthly site visit, and the season’s cumulative data transferred as a BIN file. Back in the office, the BIN file is uploaded from the handheld to a network drive using YSI’s KorEXO software. The BIN file and related monthly site visit Excel (XLSX) file, as well as any other relevant concerns or photos, are submitted to the SEAN water quality Project Leader via email. The raw BIN data files from each sonde are compiled into deliverable FQ_E (SOP 5) at the end of the monitoring season.
