Examination of 3038 mordellid beetles collected over a 22-year period from a national park site (George Washington Memorial Parkway) in Virginia, and a review of collections maintained at the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History, Washington, District of Columbia, rendered 66 mordellid taxa containing 65 species in 15 genera and three tribes. Four new species descriptions resulted from this study. Twenty-six species are reported for the first time from Virginia. Of the six capture methods utilized, Malaise traps proved to be the most successful. Periods of adult activity, based on dates of capture, are given for each species. Relative abundance is noted for each species based on the number of captures. Sex ratios and notes on morphological characteristics and habitats are provided for some species. Females of two recently described species are figured and images are provided for 35 taxa.
