From the executive summary: "In 2019, Acadia National Park’s (ANP) Invasive Plant Management Team (IPMT, formerly Exotic Plant Management Team) surveyed just over 1295 acres to detect the presence of 26 high-priority invasive plant species including the park’s biggest threats; glossy buckthorn (Rhamnus frangula), Japanese barberry (Berberis thunbergii), Asiatic bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus), and exotic bush honeysuckle (Lonicera morrowii and other Lonicera spp.). Surveying involves careful, thorough and systematic field inspections of infested sites or potentially infested sites to locate invasive plants (see Figure 1 for treated and searched areas). It also allows team leaders the opportunity to identify potential hazards and plan follow-up treatments."
