This SOP describes preparations for the field season including fieldwork planning, annual field crew training, safety concerns, and equipment needs. CUPN’s forest monitoring field season begins each year at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park over the course of the last few days in April and the first few days in May. This week typically serves as a time of training for core field season personnel. As such, updates to SOPs and other field season preparations should be completed before this time.
