This report documents fossils present in locally quarried building stone (historic and equivalent stone used in reconstruction) at Fort Scott National Historic Site, Kansas. The building stone and fossils pertain to the marine Middle Pennsylvanian Fort Scott Limestone. Numerous photos showing multiple views and preservation aspects of phylloid algae, horn corals, bryozoans, brachiopods, bivalves, gastropods, possible cephalopods, trilobites, crinoids, invertebrate burrows, and unidentified fossils are included to aid identification. Each building with significant stone is discussed. Recommendations for interpretation and management are included.
