A Geotechnical data report has been completed for the proposed slope repair and stabilization project that is situated within the Gateway National Recreation Area (GATE) Staten Island Unit-Fort Wadsworth which is located in Staten Island, New York. Two borings were advanced to a depth of approximately 60 feet below the existing surface grade at locations immediately behind the existing slope. In addition, samples of the surface soils were obtained along six equally spaced lines along the face of the slope. This report describes the subsurface conditions encountered in the explorations and provides a discussion of geotechnical considerations related to the soil parameters assigned to the in-situ soils. The purpose of these services is to provide data regarding subsurface conditions at the explored locations and geotechnical recommendations related to the soil parameters.
