ABSTRACT-A recently discovered assemblage of late Early Devonian psilophytes reported from a new unit, the Trout Valley formation, in the Traveler Mountain quadrangle area of north-central Maine. The flora includes the remains of Psilophy- ton princeps var. ornatum, Drepanophycus gaspianus, Sporogonites sp., Taeniocrada cf. T. decheniana, Aphyllopteris sp., Hostimella sp., and the problematic Prototaxites.
