The following standard operating procedure (SOP) outlines the format and general approach to developing data summary reports for data collected at fixed water-quality monitoring stations. Natural Resource Data Series (NRDS) reports are intended for the timely release of basic data sets and data summaries. These reports provide managers with the status of water-quality conditions and are not intended to synthesize multiple years of data and determine trends. In addition, this SOP may not cover all park-specific exceptions and reporting needs. Fixed-Station water quality summary reports for each park, published after 2016, serve as the template to generate subsequent reports.
