This report presents the results of our preliminary subsurface exploration and subsequent engineering evaluation in connection with the proposed Great Kills Visitor Center. The proposed site is located adjacent to Great Kills Harbor, Staten Island, New York. A map indicating the regional location of the proposed project is presented on Drawing No. 1. The purpose of our participation on the project at this time was to perform a preliminary subsurface exploration in the areas of the proposed development and to provide preliminary geotechnical recommendations for Phase I Design of the project. The scope of work performed included the advancement of 12 borings, limited surveying services, preliminary environmental assessment, laboratory testing, engineering evaluation and the generation of our recommendations.
