This project addressed a broad suite of objectives focused on bird monitoring, linking bird monitoring in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument (OPCNM) with efforts in the Pinacate Biosphere Reserve in Mexico, and building binational capacity for monitoring through trainings and outreach. Our primary objective was to understand changes in bird communities in OPCNM since the early 1990s and gather data in 2021 to foster these assessments.
