From the abstract: "In late spring of every year since 2013, a high-resolution monitoring buoy is placed on its mooring at the deepest spot in Jordan Pond by the Acadia National Park Air-Water Resource team and researchers from the University of Maine’s Climate Change Institute. The buoy system collects readings of physical and chemical conditions in the lake every 15 minutes, day and night, until it is removed for the winter in early November. These measurements show how some water quality conditions vary considerably over the course of a day and throughout the monitoring season, while others are surprisingly consistent; and provide a rich source of information about how the pond responds to annual and seasonal changes in climate and other global and local influences."
