Fish Inventories at Southeast Coast Network Parks

Johnston C, Castro M, Casten L, Henderson A, Kennon A. 2022. Fish Inventories at Southeast Coast Network Parks. Auburn University. Auburn, AL

The purpose of this study was to sample fishes in 12 parks to supplement existing data or to provide preliminary records of fishes where no records existed. The project included the analysis of existing inventories (publications) and museum collections of specimens, field surveys for fish, and mapping of voucher specimen locations. Records were compared to species of management concern, such as federally listed threatened and endangered species, locally rare species, and non-native species. In addition, an expected list of fishes for all parks was generated.
