The High Definition Stream Survey (HDSS) method was used to collect, classify, and analyze the data required for this project. In general, the HDSS approach followed a standardized series of steps that promotes rapid, systematic collection and processing of large amounts river conditions information (Figure 1). The specifics of the data collected may vary with the project’s requirements but following the general HDSS process ensures a successful project.
