In 2022, we continued the long-term banding programme on sooty terns in the Dry Tortugas. The total number of birds caught from 2012 to 2022 is 7075 and the number of recaptures 370. In 2022, we had 16 recaptures and 689 new bands. We are in the process of checking all the data since 2012. For those birds banded before 2015, we have found discrepancies between our records and those the Bird Banding Lab sent us on request. We are working to resolve those discrepancies/
