Archeological excavations were conducted from March 23 to April 9, 1976, in association with restoration of Lower Town in Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Cooperation on the part of Superintendent Martin R. Conway, numerous other Park staff members and the construction crew (who were methodically demolishing the interior of Historic Building No. 10) enabled us to conduct our excavations smoothly and efficiently.
