Fire effects monitoring data collected at St. Croix National Scenic Riverway (SACN) (St. Croix Falls, WI). Data were collected during summer field seasons by the fire effects monitoring crews from 2005 to present. Photographs are taken from each end of the transect or plot center to document change. Data collected include: tree inventory to obtain stem density and basal area (variable radius plot), sapling, seedling & woody stem densities (fixed radius plots), and understory plant percent cover and frequency using 50m point intercept transects and 1m frequency squares. Fuel load is not assessed.
