ARPO requested technical assistance from WRD to assess the cause of continuing and widespread shoreline erosion, and to make a recommendation on how the park should seek to address the problem while conserving the parks archaeological resources. Additionally, there are more localized areas of erosion associated with site specific drainage patterns that need to be addressed.
