The Annual Administrative Report and Workplan summarizes the activities of the National Park Service South Florida / Caribbean Network for FY21 and projected workplan for FY22. The South Florida/Caribbean Network (SFCN) supported 7 parks, utilized a federal staff of 13 with an IMD/WRD budget of $1,682,500 for FY21. The SFCN will continue to improve park management through greater reliance on scientific knowledge. The FY22 program of work will support the collection and organization of data, and the monitoring of the status and trends of selected natural resources in Network parks. Progress will continue on protocol reporting, review, and revision. This includes a science review of the Fish Protocol to collaboratively make formal updates with external partners (NOAA and FWC) and a targeted science review of the Spiny Lobster Protocol. Data Summary Reports, Resource Briefs, and Operational Reviews will continue to be developed and reviewed per national guidelines. Approximately 72% of FY22 funds will be spent on salary support for SFCN staff. Overall, 67% of the FY22 budget will be considered fixed in FY22.
