In 2002-2003, a small mammal inventory was conducted at Little Bighorn National Monument (LIBI) to find and record a comprehensive list of the species found within the park. To achieve this goal, varying methods were used including live trap, snap trap, and pitfall sampling. In an effort to comply with Executive Order 13642, Making Open and Machine Readable the New Default for Government Information, almost 20 years after this inventory project ended, the numerous datasets created as a result of the study were cleaned and processed in order to become machine readable and accessible to the public.
