This standard operating procedure (SOP) documents procedures for recording species, diameter, and various measures of condition of all live and standing dead trees greater than 10 centimeters (3.9 inches [in]) diameter at breast height in the entire 20 × 20-meter (65.6 × 65.6 feet [ft]) plot. The data are collected separately for each of the four 10 × 10-meter (32.8 × 32.8 ft) modules. These data will provide information on tree growth through time, mortality, condition, stand structure and stand composition. The instructions in this SOP are mainly based upon plot revisit years, as all plots have been established as of 2017 and no new plot are expected to be added in the foreseeable future.
