Herpetofauna and Fish Surveys in Northern California High-elevation Aquatic Habitats 2021 Field Protocols and Data Recording Instructions

Garwood J. 2021. Herpetofauna and Fish Surveys in Northern California High-elevation Aquatic Habitats 2021 Field Protocols and Data Recording Instructions. California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Arcata, CA

2021-2022 Goals: This survey is designed to estimate current amphibian and nonnative sportfish occupancy patterns, relative abundances, and long-term distributions and population trends of these species across montane northern California. This information will be used to identify climate-resilient habitats and the recovery of sensitive aquatic amphibians while informing current and future management of widespread nonnative sportfish populations.
