Tietz J, Geupel GR, Jongsomjit D, McCreedy C. Comprehensive Thrasher Surveys in the California Mojave Desert - 2022 Season Summary Report to the Bureau of Land Management. Research Permit and Reporting System
The Desert Thrasher Working Group (DTWG) was formed in 2011 with the goal of addressing knowledge gaps to advance effective conservation action by land managers. Specifically, the group designed standardized inventory, monitoring, and centralized data management protocols that address basic needs for the conservation of desert thrasher species (GBBO 2019, BADC 2020). Of particular concern are Bendire’s Thrasher (BETH, Toxostoma bendirei) and LeConte’s Thrasher (LCTH, Toxostoma lecontei).
