This standard operating procedure (SOP) serves to characterize forest soil nutrients, micronutrients, texture, and other standard soil testing information and their changes over time. This SOP may best capture effects of atmospheric deposition on soil chemistry and provide insight into the soils ability to sustain its current physiognomic structure into the future. This SOP includes a rapid assessment of forest floor condition as well. Note that this SOP has not been implemented.
