Invasive exotic plants management at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park (KLGO) is coordinated through the National Park Service (NPS) Alaska Region Invasive Plant Management Team (IPMT) program. In 2022, the primary program goal was to update the status of previously identified invasive plant areas of concern through inventory and mapping. Additional goals included control of selected invasive plant sites within KLGO, cooperating with the Skagway Traditional Council (STC) to control invasives at sites outside KLGO, and providing public outreach and education with KLGO Interpretation staff, STC and the Skagway Recreation Center (SRC).
