Research Report File, Lower Bus Lot, Archeological Mitigation and Monitoring
Frye S. 1989. Research Report File, Lower Bus Lot, Archeological Mitigation and Monitoring. National Park Service
During the winter of 1988-1989, construction activities began in the lower town bus lot on the south side of Shenandoah Street, between that road and the Winchester and Potomac Railroad trestle. Initial work included removing the asphalt black top and much of the underlying gravel from an existing parking lot constructed in 1957. Denver Service Center archeologist John Pousson Monitored all activities and recorded cultural features as they were exposed.
