The data set is a seamless 1-meter resolution digital orthophoto for the Waterton/Glacier International Peace Park (IPP) in MrSID-compressed image format. The orthophotography is based on 1:40,000-scale true color photography captured August 10-13, 2004. The data set extends approximately one kilometer beyond the park boundaries for both Waterton Lakes National Park (Alberta) and Glacier National Park (Montana), inlcuding data for small sections of land adjacent to park boundaries on the Flathead National Forest (MT), Lewis & Clark National Forest (MT), Blackfeet Indian Reservation (MT), Akamina-Kishenehn Provincial Park (British Columbia), and province of Alberta.
