Historic Structure Report for Worthington House. Monocacy National Battlefield

AECOM and John Milner Associates Preservation. 2019. Historic Structure Report for Worthington House. Monocacy National Battlefield. Historic Structure Report. National Park Service. Washington, D.C.

This Historic Structure Report (HSR) updates the 1995 Worthington House Historic Structure Report (HSR) to inform the rehabilitation of the building, and to ensure its long-term preservation while accommodating visitors. The Part 1 portion (Developmental History) is an update to the 1995 document describing subsequent work, current conditions, and current recommendations only. The Part 2 portion (Treatment and Use) presents design concepts for rehabilitating Worthington House based on existing conditions, historic documentation, and a design charrette with the National Park Service. This section does not refer to the 1995 design concepts, but instead reflects a single comprehensive approach for the conservation and rehabilitation of the building. This report also includes a Class C cost estimate for the proposed base design concept.
