National Register boundary increase for Jacob Riis Park Historic District, a part of Gateway National Recreation Area. The 72-acre parking lot was not included in the original nomination because until 1985 it was owned by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. The parking lot was part of the 1930s redesign of the park and was considered to be the largest single paved parking space in the United States at the time.
