This article summarizes the 2023 sampling season for terrestrial vegetation monitoring at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park. In 2019, I&M crews established and sampled plots for the first time, and in June 2023, they returned for the second round of sampling. A total of 10 plots were sampled in 2023, including plots in cordgrass salt prairie and loma shrublands. Key metrics included species richness for both native and invasive species, per-species relative frequency, and per-species percent cover in nested subplots. Results reporting for 2023 is completed in two ways: there is a web article and a formatted pdf. A supplemental materials packet includes the full species list as well as several supporting tables and figures.
