This property is the subject of a pending National Historic Landmark nomination. The January 2024 draft of the National Historic Landmark nomination for the Lucy Diggs Slowe and Mary Burrill House was considered by the Landmarks Committee of the National Park System Advisory Board (NPSAB) at its meeting on May 14-15, 2024.
