Byrne M, Whitenack H , Irvine G. 2026. Alaska Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) Location Polygons. National Park Service. https://doi.org/10.57830/2303057
Alaska Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) Location Polygons represent named visitor use monitoring areas defined by the National Park Service (NPS) Alaska Region for commercial use authorization (CUA) reporting and across all Alaskan parks. The area records contained in this dataset are intended to provide complete spatial coverage for each NPS park unit by representing visitor use locations with reported CUA visitation, as well as locations with potential for future CUA visitation. Each CUA Location polygon row contains a unique name ("Name" column) which can be related to matching named tabular CUA Location. Along with its unique Name, the CUA Location park ("UNITCODE" column) and Inventory and Monitoring network for which the park is part of ("GROUPCODE" column) have been identified and are included.
