What's New in the NPS DataStore Release 2.12

NPS DataStore, National Park Service. 2024. What's New in the NPS DataStore Release 2.12. National Park Service

New features added to the NPS DataStore in Release 2.12. Features include: • Project references can now be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). • Core Tab metadata for DataStore reference with an NPS DOI are synchronized with DataCite or CrossRef each time a reference is activated. This allows for reference owners to edit Core tab metadata even after activation. • Data Package reference EML extraction populates categorical data variables. Warning message for duplicate categorical data displays, and continues the extraction process. EML files previously extracted were scanned and the categorical data variables are populated, allowing for display of all data package categorical data. • Enhanced the stability of the ‘Add NPS Individual’ contact lookup functionality. • Expanded references that can be versioned to published reports. • Science Report Series link is available on the NPS DataStore landing page. See this web article for more information. • The secured DataStore Web Services v7 have been enhanced to allow for draft reference to be linked to a project reference. In addition, the Lifecycle PUT rest/Reference/{referenceId}/Lifecycle/Active endpoint will synch core tab metadata changes for references with the ‘Reserve NPS DOI’ option. • Minor usability changes were made to improve the readability of some of the NPS DataStore pages. • Our support email address is NRSS_DataStore@nps.gov.
