To effectively monitor a diverse and dynamic set of estuarine water resources, the NPS Southeast Coast I&M Network (SECN) implemented a two-pronged monitoring approach, which consists of collecting periodic discrete and continuously recorded data from fixed stations located in SECN National Park units combined with periodic synoptic assessments of water quality at a larger spatial scale in the waters surrounding park areas. This report summarizes parkwide water-quality monitoring data collected during an assessment at Cumberland Island National Seashore in August 2017. The intent of this report is to provide water-quality monitoring data to managers as a concise summary in the context of condition criteria developed by the Environmental Protection Agency.
