Yosemite National Park water quality in three different water sheds—Wawona, Yosemite Valley, and Tioga Pass, was measured using ICP-OES. Human impacts can be seen in some areas of the park, including Yosemite Valley where water downstream contains higher concentrations of sodium and potassium ions as well as calcium, which may be attributed to human use of the watershed.
