The NPS sediment and soil management framework was prepared to support the Herring River Restoration Project located at Cape Cod National Seashore. The goal of the project is to restore tidal flow to the Herring River estuary and promote the return of salt marsh in the system. Proposed restoration activities include management of soil and sediment. This plan was created to provide a process to assess soil and sediment management options for material gathered from within the park.
