NPSdataverse: DPchecker
Baker R , Wright S , Patterson J . NPSdataverse: DPchecker. 2022. National Park Service https://doi.org/10.57830/2305046
Checking data package and metadata compliance. This project houses references to the individual releases (versions) of the R package DPchecker. If you need to cite a specific version of DPchecker, please cite that reference. If you want to cite the concept of the DPchecker package, please cite this reference. DPchecker is used to ascertain whether EML documents are schema valid, contain all the necessary fields to properly interact with the National Park Service's digital repository (DataStore), and that the data and metadata are in congruence. Additionally, DPchecker will offer some suggestions for improving metadata documentation to increase the data package's FAIR score. DPchecker will be useful to both data package creators and data package reviewers. Although DPchecker is primarily aimed at NPS users, all aspects of DPchecker are written with the general public in mind and the tools are broadly useful to all people working with Ecological Metadata Language documents.
