In response to Hurricane Sandy the Northeast Coastal and Barrier Network (NCBN) of the National Park Service (NPS) partnered with the Environmental Data Center (EDC) at the University of Rhode Island (URI) to collect detailed elevation, vegetation, and water level data for salt marsh environments at four coastal national parks in the northeast. Elevation points were collected with Real Time Kinematic (RTK) Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) equipment. Elevations are relative to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (meters).
