This Historic Structure Report (HSR) provides a developmental history, condition assessment, and treatment plan for the 4 resources at Slaven's Roadhouse within Yukon Charley Rivers National Preserve. In anticipation of park identified deferred maintenance needs, the National Park Service (NPS) commissioned this Historic Structure Report (HSR). This HSR will serve as a planning and management document update for the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve. The purpose of this update is to track the progression of conditions since 1990 and expand to include conditions and treatment recommendations for three additional contributing outbuildings. Contributing resources addressed in this report include: Roadhouse, ca 1932-1938; Meat House, ca 1930-1942; Greenhouse, ca 1930-1942; Fish Smoker, ca 1930-1942. This HSR will serve as a planning and management document for the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve to inform future rehabilitation and maintenance projects at the site and four contributing buildings. It summarizes historical information borrowed from the 1990 Frank Slaven’s Roadhouse HSR with updates on current conditions, and provides long-term stewardship recommendations and analysis in accordance with The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
