The US Fish and Wildlife Service issued Cape Cod National Seashore a Biological Opinion in response to the Cape Cod National Seashore's consultation request under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. The Biological Opinion details the management actions proposed by the park and evaluates the likelihood of the actions to impact the population. The Biological Opinion permits the park to utilize five uses of flexible management or takes on five pairs of piping plover each season to allow for the maintenance of recreational access to park beaches.
