A summary of the past two monitoring years for amphibian monitoring at Barataria Preserve, a unit of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, located south of New Orleans, Louisiana. The park has two study sites within the Preserve. Each site contains 32 plywood coverboards placed flat on the ground and 64 PVC pipes hung in pairs from trees. Field crews visit each site once every other month and record the amphibian species and numbers of individuals under each board or inside each pipe.
