During GLBA murrelet field surveys, observation data are recorded using the SeaLog application (starting with the 2023 survey year). Data collected include murrelet bird group observations, their relation to line transects, covariates, tracklogs, and GPS points made on survey transects. These are stored in their original raw form after the field survey and are never edited. Once quality control processes are completed, the corrected data is incorporated into the KM_E deliverable.
