As part of the long-term Coastal Ecosystem Monitoring Program at Cape Cod National Seashore, MA, a baseline study of organic contaminants was conducted during 1999-2000. The investigation focused on total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in sediments and bivalves from coastal ponds and marshes of the National Seashore.
