This dataset contains Landbirds monitoring data for point counts at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Pinnacles National Park units with the San Francisco Bay Area Inventory and Monitoring Network (SFAN). Landbirds were selected as a focus group for bird monitoring in SFAN because they provide cost-effective information about ecological conditions of interest and they are well represented in the major terrestrial habitats in the parks. Landbirds monitoring is performed by Point Blue Conservation Science using funding from the NPS SFAN. This point count dataset will provide park managers, scientists and other users with data and information that can be utilized to assess and better understand landbird status and trends. Point counts are done once every three years at monitoring locations.
