ABSTRACT: A new species of Heuchera (Saxifragaceae) from western North Carolina is described and illustrated herein, including phylogenomic and morphological analyses of its closest allies in the Heuchera parviflora group. Heuchera tuckasegeensis is distinguished from the other Heuchera taxa based on its distinct morphological attributes (style and stamen length, petiole and laminar hair length, and degree of leaf lobing), phylogenetic position, habitat preferences, and edaphic substrate specialization.
