This hosted feature service contains point and line layers for use in the RIGR Storymap (2025 revision). This feature service is intended for cartographic display only and is not intended to be used for geospatial analysis. Nothing in this feature service should be interpreted as an authoritative geospatial data source. Line features depicting the Rio Grande/Río Bravo were derived from the National Hydrological Dataset and split at points along the river of relevance to information shared in the storymap. In some areas, lines were realigned with aerial imagery to depict the most recent and accurate representation of the river's centerline. All line features representing the Rio Conchos were digitized using aerial imagery dating from 2015-2020. All point features were digitized using aerial imagery or USGS topographic basemaps as reference. Point features depict locations referenced in the storymap including campsites, river access points, and geologic areas of interest, all of which cover areas much larger than the precision of the points.
