Town of Nags Head Annual Beach Monitoring Plan. Research Permit and Reporting System
Annually, the Town of Nags Head conducts surveys of the dry sand beach, and offshore surveys to monitor the condition of the beach nourishment sand volumes in accordance with the Town Beach Maintenance and Monitoring Plan and remain eligible for FEMA Public Assistance Funding. Two separate surveys were conducted in 2024 to include an annual survey in addition to a fall survey. The results of the surveys are included in the attached report.
