Leopard frogs in the southeastern AZ are being decimated by a chytrid skin fungus. Samples of dead leopard frogs were sent to Arizona Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Tucson. All samples were positive for the chytrid skin fungus which has killed off populations of leopard frogs in Australia, the U.S. and Central America. Included in the file, past the newspaper article, are pathology reports for veterinary examinations of sample frogs collected.
