Yosemite National Park Rockfall Database

Stock G, Helfrich A, Pharris G, Wood J, Collins B. 2025. Yosemite National Park Rockfall Database. National Park Service

The Yosemite rockfall inventory database records rockfalls and other slope movement events, such as rock slides and debris flows, throughout Yosemite National Park from 1857 to 2024. The database includes information on event type, location, timing, magnitude, consequences, and potential triggering conditions, as well as narrative descriptions of the event. Included are links to photos and videos in NPGallery. Note that the majority of events documented here are eyewitness observations, leading to spatial and temporal observation biases in the data.
